Some Aniimo wear more than one face. Beyond the 94 published roster entries, the official Aniimo Index quietly carries a second layer of pages: forms — biome-tuned variants like Nimbi’s Cloudmist Form that change how a creature looks, fights, and where it spawns. This guide explains the system with officially published data, separates it from Prismana variants and evolutions, and tracks which forms are known so far.
Because Aniimo has not launched yet (global release is confirmed for September 16, 2026), mechanics beyond the official index data — acquisition routes, the Morph Orb — reflect beta and community data and are subject to change.
Aniimo Wiki is a fan-made community site, not affiliated with Pawprint Studio. All beta details are subject to change before launch.
Last updated: August 21, 2026 — full roster sweep: all 57 form-bearing species verified against the official Aniimo Index.
What Forms Are and Why They Exist
Aniimo’s creatures adapt to the world’s biomes — a community-database framing the official Index backs with its own data. Every species has a Basic Form, and select species publish additional forms, each as its own Index entry with its own element list, habitat, and page. The pattern the published numbers reveal:
- One shared statline. Every form of a species carries identical base stats, role, weight band, and trait. Forms are horizontal, not vertical — you are not trading power for looks.
- A second element, sometimes. Forms can add a typing the Basic Form lacks — the one-two punch that makes a form strategically interesting rather than cosmetic.
- Their own spawn logic. A form can keep the species habitat or relocate entirely.
The Worked Example: All Four Nimbi Forms (Official Data)
Nimbi is the fully published showcase. The official Index lists four entries, all No.018, all Wind/Support, all 442 total base stats with the [Shrouded in Mist] trait:
| Form | Element | Habitat | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic Form | Wind | Nimbus Fields, The Argent Strait | The common cloud-sheep look |
| Cloudmist Form | Wind | Nimbus Fields | Golden-tinged wool; drawn to Sunny Daisy |
| Rainstorm Form | Wind + Lightning | Nimbus Fields | Waterlogged, conductive wool |
| Plateau Form | Wind + Ice | Driftwise Meadow | The relocating form — different biome entirely |
Read that table twice — it is the whole system in one species. Same stats everywhere; Lightning and Ice typings appear and disappear by form; Plateau even moves spawn zones. For battle-usage discussion of the base kit, see the Nimbi creature page.
A Note on Form Names Across Sources
Form names are not yet standardized across the community, and search results will disagree with themselves:
- The official Index publishes Rainstorm and Plateau — a legacy “Thunderstorm” tag also exists in official page data, and some fan wikis still use Thunderstorm for Rainstorm.
- Some databases call Plateau High Altitude Form.
This site follows the official Index names, with the alternates noted so searchers land regardless of spelling.
How Forms Are Obtained and Switched
What is confirmed, and what is not:
- Confirmed (official data): forms exist as separate published Index entries with distinct elements/habitats. Form collection counts per-species on the Aniilog entry, with a completion bonus — Nimbi pays +3 Constitution for collecting all four forms, alongside a “Collect 4 Forms” research task. The dex-facing side of this lives in our Anilog guide.
- Community beta data: a Morph Orb item switches a creature between its unlocked forms.
- Not yet published: how the Cloudmist Form specifically is obtained, Morph Orb acquisition, and whether some forms are event- or weather-gated. These gaps fill in after the September 16, 2026 launch — update stamped at the top of this page when they do.
Forms vs Evolutions vs Prismana: The Three-Way Table
The three variant-adjacent systems get conflated constantly. The clean split:
| Forms | Evolution | Prismana | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Changes what? | Look, sometimes element + habitat | Stage, stats, skills | Color rarity tier |
| Statline | Shared across forms | Raised per stage | Unchanged |
| Direction | Horizontal (parallel) | Vertical (progression) | Horizontal (cosmetic) |
| Example | Nimbi’s Cloudmist Form | Nimbi → Dreaple/Turbo | A rainbow Nimbi |
| Can coexist? | Yes — a Prismana rarity can roll on any form | Yes — evolved stages have their own forms where published | Yes |
One stacking note from the community: nothing published suggests forms lock each other out — the collection bonuses exist precisely because you are meant to gather them all.
Which Creatures Have Forms? (All 57, Official Data)

The pattern across the full table: Prismana Form is the most common variant type (21 species), followed by Highland (15), Mountain Woods and Umbrabow (12 each) — while single-appearance types like Grassland and Towerwood mark biome-specific one-offs. After launch, this section becomes the full cross-reference with acquisition routes per form.
The 19 Form Types Registered in the Official Index
The official wiki’s own filter system carries a closed list of 19 form-type names — the taxonomy the game itself uses for variants. As of the August 21, 2026 full sweep, all 18 non-Basic types are attached to published creatures — 130 form pages across 57 species — turning this list from a preview into the confirmed variant surface of the launch roster.
| # | Form type | Seen on a published creature? | What the name suggests |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Basic Form | Yes — every creature | The default look every species ships with |
| 2 | Rainstorm Form | Yes — Nimbi | Nimbi’s Lightning second-element storm variant |
| 3 | Prismana Form | Yes — 21 species | Luminelle, Fenmane carry it |
| 4 | Umbrabow Form | Yes — 12 species | Luminelle, Scorchhowl carry it |
| 5 | Snowfield Form | Yes — 11 species | Pranky, Budsquire carry it |
| 6 | Mountain Woods Form | Yes — 12 species | Iris, Scorchhowl carry it |
| 7 | Mountain Form | Yes — 6 species | Jawling, Helmwhelp carry it |
| 8 | Forest Form | Yes — 6 species | Ignitis, Iris carry it |
| 9 | Highland Form | Yes — 15 species | Ignitis, Iris carry it |
| 10 | Sea of Flowers Form | Yes — 9 species | Pranky, Flutternym carry it |
| 11 | Thunderstorm Form | Yes — 2 species | Scorchhowl, Sherro carry it |
| 12 | Nighttime Form | Yes — 9 species | Glynsera, Bonesky carry it |
| 13 | Mudflat Form | Yes — 2 species | Shrubclaw, Budclaw carry it |
| 14 | Beach Form | Yes — 6 species | Tromber, Tubster carry it |
| 15 | Bay Form | Yes — 2 species | Shrubclaw, Budclaw carry it |
| 16 | Grassland Form | Yes — 2 species | Iris, Irisal carry it |
| 17 | Plateau Form | Yes — Nimbi | Nimbi’s Ice second-element highland variant |
| 18 | Cloudmist Form | Yes — Nimbi | Nimbi’s golden-wool cloud variant |
| 19 | Towerwood Form | Yes — 2 species | Budsquire, Thornblade carry it |
The pattern is unmistakable: the form system is biome-shaped. Most registered types map to a habitat or weather state, which lines up with how Nimbi’s variants work — a form is the species answering a different biome. Which species get which forms is exactly the kind of thing the launch build will reveal; this table updates the day it does.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many creatures have forms in Aniimo?
As of the August 21, 2026 index sweep, 57 of the 94 published roster entries carry at least one extra form, for 130 additional form pages in total. Iris and Irisal lead with six forms each; Turbo and Scorchhowl carry five. Every species’ forms are listed in the tracking table on this page.
What is a form in Aniimo?
A form is a published variant of an Aniimo species. Every creature has a Basic Form, and some have additional forms — a different look tuned to a biome, sometimes a second element typing, and occasionally a different habitat. The official Aniimo Index publishes each form as its own entry with its own page.
What is the Cloudmist Form in Aniimo?
Cloudmist Form is one of Nimbi’s three published variants. It keeps pure Wind typing and the Nimbus Fields habitat, and community descriptions note its wool takes a golden tinge from preferring Sunny Daisy over grass. How Cloudmist Form is obtained has not been published yet.
Are forms the same as evolutions in Aniimo?
No. Evolution moves a creature up its family line and raises its stat ceiling — Nimbi evolves into Dreaple or Turbo. Forms are parallel variants of the same stage that all share one base statline. A Rainstorm Form Nimbi and a Basic Form Nimbi have identical stats.
Are forms the same as Prismana variants?
No. Prismana rainbow variants are a separate cosmetic rarity system covered in our Prismana guide. Forms change appearance and sometimes element typing; Prismana changes color rarity. A form variant can itself come in Prismana rarity. A Prismana Form is also a real biome-style form type carried by 21 species — the two systems stack rather than compete.
How do I switch an Aniimo between forms?
Community beta data describes a Morph Orb item that switches a creature between its unlocked forms. Official acquisition details for the orb have not been published yet — this page updates the moment they are.
Do forms change an Aniimo stats?
No. Official index data confirms all 130 published form entries share their species’ base statline, role, weight band and trait exactly. What forms can change is element typing — Nimbi’s Rainstorm Form adds Lightning and Plateau Form adds Ice — and sometimes habitat. The full form index ships with the September 16, 2026 launch — key dates and regional unlock times are in the release date guide.
